After extensive tests, the team recommends a minimum of a Pentium 4 with 2 gigabytes of RAM to obtain acceptable response times.The comparison between a Pentium 4 and a quad-core processor with 4 GB RAM shows response time differenes of 6-10 seconds.
The faster and better your hardware, the faster FreeHAL will respond.
FreeHAL's performance is constantly being monitored in order to avoid performance regressions.
